Classes at both venues will run as normal until the end of July. For the whole of August we will take a break from teaching classes (Boooo!). But instead we will be putting on a 2 hours of social dancing every Wednesday from 7 pm to 9pm (Yay!) at the Marchon Club, Coach Road, Whitehaven.
Everyone is welcome to attend including non members (ie your family or friends). We hope to see everyone from Egremont and Whitehaven Classes there. Its basically a chance for you to come and practice everything you have learnt so you don't forget it all over the summer break. It also means those who wish to practice more with their partner get that chance. We will be on hand to help out of course so look forward to seeing you there!
It will cost £3 pounds each on the door with no need to book in advance.

This weeks classes focused on Styling and went very well so we'll be concentrating more on Styling in the next couple of weeks so don't miss out!

Don't forget to those in the 9.00 Whitehaven class that from now on that class will run at 8.00 pm at the Marchon Club.
Also we will be having a two week break so there will be no classes on 17th/18th and 24th/25th of June.
Classes will restart from July!

We are running classes next week (10th and 11th June) then will be having a 2 week break and return to all classes the first week of July.

Salsa Studio can now be found as a group on Facebook. Here you can post comments, see videos and photographs from the classes and find out about other salsa related events.
15th May 2008 - Change of Venue for Whitehaven on 21st May
On 21st May our Whitehaven Class will run from Whitehaven Civic Hall. All class times remain the same.

17th April 2008 -There will be no lessons until 6th May at Egremont and 7th May at Whitehaven.
If you would like to join one of our beginners classes at Egremont or Whitehaven please email shameem@salsastudio.co.uk stating which class you are interested in and for how many people and I will email you a membership form. For those without email text me your name, home address and how many forms you need on 07724 240179 and I will send them by post.
The places are allocated on a first come first served basis.
All classes must be paid for in advance. We will not accept new entrants on the night. Classes cost £5 each.
28th March 2008 - New Classes!!!
New Beginners classes will start at Egremont on Tuesday 6th May at the Conservative Club at 7.00 p.m.
Whitehaven new beginners class will start on Wednesday 7th May at the Marchon Club at 7.00 p.m.
To register interest in either class please email or phone Shameem. Please be aware that numbers will be limited and we have already had overwhelming interest so places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Strictly Come Salsa Party! the morning after...
Many thanks to everyone who came to our first party night and helped to make it such a success. Hopefully it will be the first of many parties we will hold at Whitehaven!

Please be aware if you don't have tickets you will not be allowed in on the night as we are sold out!

For the next few weeks our Whitehaven 9pm class will be held at 8pm.
Unfortunately we have had to put our new beginners classes on hold as we are having major works done on our house and cannot spare any more time for the next few weeks. As soon as we know when we can start our new round of beginners classes you will see it here first. In the meantime please get in touch if you'd like to be put on the list of any of these classes (Whitehaven, Seascale and Egremont).
Dance Shoes: We now have a supplier for dance shoes: ROTATE. Please make sure when buying your shoes you state Shameem Arnold as your Rotate rep.

We will not be running any classes on 26th and 27th February 2008. Classes return to normal the following week! :-)
Our Strictly Come Salsa Party Tickets are now sold out!!! If you missed out and would like to be put on our reserves list we may be able to re-allocate tickets if we have any cancellations before the event.
We have featured in Egremont Today this month and have had lots of requests to hold a class at Egremont. If you would be interested in attending a class at Egremont please email or phone us to be put on our list.

Ticket sales have reached fever pitch and demand has far outstripped supply - despite the fact that the event is over a month away, we now have only a few tickets left for sale. As such we will be removing the google checkout link from the website in the next few days - please contact Shameem if you want tickets.

Seascale Classes have been moved to a new venue - Seascale School. This move has been made so that we can offer an increased dance floor size and so bring new people in to the salsa scene. We would like to thank Steve and Andy at the Calder House Hotel for their hospitality and letting us use their great venue for the last few months.
Seascale Class 7-8 pm from 13th February 2008 Onwards
Whitehaven Classes have been altered to suit the half term break:
7-8 Class - Unaffected
8-9 Class - Unaffected
9-10 Class for one week only (13th Feb) will be 8pm-9pm
This Change is for ONE WEEK ONLY - contact us (0772 424 0179) if the time change causes you a problem.
Our one off event in Arlecdon was filled to capacity. At present we are unable to offer a permanent class in Arlecdon as we are too busy (believe it or not, we do also have day jobs). We added a number of people to our waiting list on the night and would like to extend the invitation to others who may not have had chance to speak to us at the time.
We are looking into a new beginners class starting in March. Those of you at the head of the waiting list will be first to hear about it - watch this space.

Arlecdon Village Hall on Monday 4th February.
Haile Village Hall (near Egremont) on Monday 18th February
This is a great opportunity for those of you on our waiting lists and those who haven't had the opportunity to get to our classes yet. Please contact us if you are interested in attending either of the workshops.
